Bloglines is an online aggregator. With Bloglines you can read your feeds from any computer.
Using this feature, you can have the best of both worlds: the ability to read feeds from multiple computers while also being able to use NetNewsWire and get all the benefits of a desktop aggregator.
You could even use NetNewsWire in one location and another desktop aggregator such as FeedDemon (a Windows aggregator) in another, with both reading your Bloglines feeds.
If you donÕt have a Bloglines account, you can sign up for one at Bloglines.com. ItÕs free.
To add one or more of your Bloglines feeds to NetNewsWireÉ
The Bloglines subscriptions you chose have been added to NetNewsWireÕs subscriptions list. You can drag them anywhere, organize however youÕd like, just like with other NetNewsWire subscriptions.
When NetNewsWire reads a Bloglines subscription, Bloglines returns the unread items for that subscription.
Items that NetNewsWire downloads are marked as read at Bloglines, so next time you use Bloglines you wonÕt see them as unread.
(Of course, items that NetNewsWire downloads are still unread in NetNewsWire until you read them, as with any other subscription.)
To add subscriptions to your Bloglines account, open Bloglines.com in your browser and use the standard Bloglines browser-based interface.
Note: NetNewsWire uses the Bloglines API, a set of services designed and run by the Bloglines developers. The API is new and thus supports just the basics so farÑit doesnÕt support things like having NetNewsWire tell Bloglines to add a subscription.
ItÕs entirely reasonable to hope and expect that the API will evolve based on your feedback. So, if there are features that youÕd like to have, please feel free to request them of usÑbut also send email to the folks at Bloglines, since they need to know what features youÕd like to see added, and they have the ability to add new features.
